Rap: Nerdy and Old School

We've got a bizarre sort of double feature going on tonight at the Ritz.

Okay, it's technically not a double feature at all, but it's still a happy accident from the programming department: at 7pm, MC Frontalot will be at the theater live in person to introduce a screening of the SXSW fave NERDCORE RISING, a documentary that follows Frontalot on his first ever nerdcore hip hop national tour.

Then at 10:15pm, it's another night of the JIGGY CRUNK POP RAP OF THE 90s SING-ALONG, featuring all the artists who made rap accessible for the whiteys from the suburbs for the first time, inadvertently laying the groundwork for the nerdcore artists of today. Sing and dance along to MC Hammer, Kris Kross, Milli Vanilli (we put some pop R&B in this show, too), and so many others. Come up to the stage and show the fly girls how to do it up right.

Tickets for NERDCORE RISING are available right here.
