The next Hey Homo! screening is right around the corner! This time it's, pre-Lovely-Bones, Peter Jackson's gorgeous animation-meets-young-Kate-Winslet film, Heavenly Creatures.
This is Peter Jackson's masterpiece. Pauline and Juliet, two young New Zealand schoolgirls, share an undeniable bond from the moment they meet. Bored with their families and small town, the girls dream up brilliant fantasies and passionate romances that provide them with a more colorful (and often animated) landscape. Eventually, all the sleepovers and handholding is enough to arouse not only the girls, but the eyebrows of their moralistic parents. Threatened with permanent separation, Pauline and Juliet would do just about anything to keep their love intact. That's when things get nasty. This movie has everything that Hey Homo! has ever hoped to deliver to our audience: hot schoolgirls (and their burning desire for one another), animation and murder.
